James Norman and Sons Contracts is a respected name in grounds maintenance and landscaping throughout southern Scotland and northern England.

 

Company founder James Norman has a wealth of experience and expertise stretching back to 1965 and although he took a 'back seat' from the contracting side of the business eight years ago is always on hand in a consultative role.

 

His sons and fellow directors carry out the day-to-day running of the firm, Kevin, Craig and Trevor, who have kept quality of service as a watchword while steadily expanding the enterprise.

 

Their portfolio of major contracts includes:

Extensive work for local authorities on both sides of the Scotland, England border; Estate maintenance on large central government properties and depots;

 

Looking after a number of significant industrial sites for large and small companies. The quality and reliability of their work is reflected by the fact that they repeatedly win back contracts in a modern tendering system where quality of work and best value are important elements in what can be a highly competitive process.

 

The company invests significant amounts of money in the latest state-of-the-art plant and equipment, which is all regularly maintained and helps ensure efficiency of service and customer satisfaction.

 

Training together with health and safety are high priorities and to ensure the company consistently delivers a service to the highest industry standards it is certificated to the benchmark grading ISO 9002 in grounds maintenance.

 

James Norman and Sons Contracts' main depot and offices are located within the extensive Halcrow Stadium complex at Annan Road, Gretna. That gives work teams easy access to the near-by trunk road and motorway network and reasonable travelling times to sites across the region.

 

Tailor-made maintenance programmes, ranging from grass and hedge cutting, spraying and general care, are undertaken and free estimates are available on jobs large and small.
